Quote by El-CadejosThey are "titles" of sorts.
What happens is that in Saint Seiya, the characters barely have family names. What identifies them is what constellation or mythical creature their armor represents.

Therefore Seiya, the main character, is known as Pegasus Seiya, because that is his constellation. The same is true for pretty much everyone else.
    I hope that helps!

Ahh, got it, thanks for the explanation! The wiki was kind of confusing - which I suppose is understandable, as Saint Seiya seems to be a quite complex story.

Quote by El-CadejosI've also noticed that some older characters tags got the name swapped around. Not entirely sure why :s

These are the ones I've noticed so far:
Kyouko Equuleus (should be Equuleus Kyouko)
Shouko Equuleus (should be Equuleus Shouko)
Saga Gemini (Should be Gemini Saga)
Aiolia Leo (should be Leo Aiolia)
Elda Cassiopeia (should be Cassiopeia Elda)
Milo Scorpio (should be Scorpio Milo)

    Thank you.

Are "Equuleus", "Gemini" etc. family names or titles?

Quote by El-CadejosAlso, please create a tag for "Garuda Suikyo". (Saint Seiya: Next Dimension, Males, Specters (Saint Seiya), Short Hair, Blue Hair)
The system did not allow me to create it myself, it would just input "Specters (Saint Seiya)"

You can create the tag now :)

Hi! Remember, you have these tags to report:
    Emoni
    Orion Rigel
    Phonos

Quote by El-CadejosI've noticed that several of my scans get double-tagged series wise.
That is, I submit them as "Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas", for example, and then they show up as "Saint Seiya" as well, when I did not add that tag.
I've been going back and forth trying to get the tag out of my scans but I don't now if this is done automatically by the system.
I know there shouldn't be tagged with both, so I want to make sure I can correct it and not get into trouble.

Tag discussions are usually done in Tag-licious so we can preserve the discussion (because it might be useful for the future). The posts in the Tag admin thread are deleted, so that's why the thread is not good for longer talks :)

As for your question: the character tags you are adding to your images may have "Saint Seiya" set to auto. Usually characters are tagged under all the series they appear in; if they are tagged under multiple series, those series tags are set to manual.
If you see a character tagged under a series they shouldn't be in (for example, "Saint Seiya" instead of "Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas"), or if they AREN'T tagged under a series they should be in, then report them and mention which series tag should be added/removed from those character tags.

For a more in-depth explanation of auto and manual tags, see this guide.

    Quote by El-Cadejos Hello!

    Reporting the following tags:

    Should be Character, not Theme
    Dryad Luco
    Pisces Rugonis
Albafika (also, should be Pisces Albafica)
    Taurus Rasgado

    Name Change
    Manigoldo (should be Cancer Manigoldo)

Hope I've done it it in the correct format.

    Hi,

You have the correct format in the first post of the thread.
I also sent you a checklist for the tags you should add, which you need to add.
Example: gender, hair color, hair length, character class (see here for the Saint Seiya ones).
Please edit your post to correct this. Thanks!
